The Rash

My mom keeps asking for pictures of the plague that hit Ella, so here they are for all of you to enjoy. Well, it wasn't a plague, but she sure looked like she had something horrible. These pictures really don't do the horror justice. She had these big acne looking bumps on her face and then tiny little pinpricks all over her arms and legs.

I was lucky and had Google at my fingertips, so I quickly learned that it was a noncontagious rash. I also learned that it probably was contagious the day or so before - OOPS that was Aidan's birthday party!! Sorry everybody! So far, I haven't heard of an epidemic, so I think we're in the clear. My friend Erica's daughter also had it the same weekend - read her saga here (scroll to "An eventful birthday). Ella did run a fever on Friday - I thought it was teething and it was completely gone by Saturday morning. The weird thing is that Campbell and Ella haven't been around each other in a while - it must be something going around their little school.

Anyway, here are the pictures and more information than you may care about as to why no one has seen us much in the past week. I did take her to the Doctor on Monday - to get a note so she could go to school. Aidan had his big 4 year old check-up and learned that he really, really does not "love shots." In fact, he screamed it all the way out of the office and all the folks waiting had a good laugh. He got a sucker and a coke, and suddenly it was all worth it.

Now, I have a sore throat and I'm hoping I don't break out in a rash.
