Ella's first school program was Tuesday night. Her class has been practicing for weeks, but when I would ask her to sing a song all she would do is "sing" "la, la, la, blah!" then say "like that!" Cute, but not making me look forward to much of a performance. All Aidan did at this age was look out into the audience until he saw us and then say, "There's my mom!"
After school the day of the performance, she was so excited. She kept saying, "I'm going to be on stage!" then she would say rather meanly, "not Aidan, ME!" She couldn't wait to go back to school for the show.
The first two songs of the program all the classes (two - five year olds) were on stage together. I went down to the front and made sure she saw me. She waved, smiled and then started singing at the top of her lungs!
Here she is singing her heart out with the three classes of 2 and 3 year olds:
The theme was safari, so here she is singing "Who's the King of the Jungle?" She's doing the gorilla sound:
Isn't she precious? You can tell she's watching her teacher and following the motions.
