Christmas Program Stage Fright

Sweet Aidan made us laugh tonight at the Christian School Christmas Program. Honestly, I was impressed that he was excited to go on stage. For the past couple of weeks he's told me that he wasn't going to do it. He can be a bit shy. At dinner tonight, we were asking him to sing his song and he started singing "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer" - so that's what we thought they were going to sing. We were a bit worried when he sang "joy" instead of "glee". Clearly, I need to play some old time Christmas music around here.

Turns out they didn't sing anything close to Rudolph - they sang "Chocolate in my Stocking" or something like that. Key word is "they" because Aidan didn't sing a word. He was frozen!

My kid who talks to anyone in her path would BAWL all through Christmas programs, while sullen brother would belt them out. You just never know what the stage will do to little guys. He looked pretty cute in his jammies, though...!
